Our community will be gathering with Spring Hill United Methodist Church and Southview Community Church for worship on Christmas Eve.  Services are going to begin at 5pm, 7pm and 11pm.  The service at 5pm will be about 50 minutes long and is geared toward families with children.  The services at 7pm & 11pm will be one hour long and will offer the opportunity to take the Eucharist. All services will end with a time of candle lights and singing.

Childcare will be available for children 2 years old and younger. We will also take an offering that will go toward the housing project and church plant that our three churches are working on in the Baja of Mexico.

How Do You Get To Here?

Pete passed this incredibly disturbing video on this morning and for one of the rare moments in my life I was speechless.  Such hate masked as following Jesus.  I'm not sure how you get from the Great Commission or Commandment to here.

***WARNING***If you watch the video there is what I would say is adult content and no kids need to be around.  Please read my thoughts below the video as well.

Pete also said something that got me thinking. How do we respond…? At first I thought, "Well don't post this video because you are giving them attention and that's all that they want." Then I had another idea.
We are a people of love & prayer so maybe we should respond that way.

What if…we respond on the youtube page for this video and their church page with emails and comments of encouragement & prayer.  Especially for their children. 

No anger.  No hate.  No judgement.  Just love.

This exercise to be honest will be more challenging for us as it will take a lot to love those who seem to show love to no one.  What do you think?
