2. “When Jesus really shows up, the playing field is leveled.”

Thought: I have for years heard people speak of revival and all that God is “about to do.” But when I have heard these conversations, they have every time referred to what God is going to do when a bunch of people get together to worship or have some certain kind of event.

Historically when God really shows up (in big mass movements) the social order is rocked. The poor are aided, the marginalized are lifted up, the outcast is brought home.

When Jesus really shows up, it’s about for more than a worship event; his kingdom breaks out and God’s heart is brought to fruition on earth.
